Adventurous Dutchman drove his electric car about 95,000 km from Amsterdam to Sydney

Wiebe Wakker has just completed his 3-year drive from Amsterdam to Sydney, Australia.

The adventurous Dutchman drove his converted VW electric car about 95,000 km (60,000 miles) across 33 countries to demonstrate the capacity and reliability of electric cars, in order to promote them as a way of tackling climate change.

Wakker left Amsterdam in March 2016 and relied on donations of electricity to complete the journey.
